The Y-VOLT Surge V deserves to be chosen for its configuration as a whole. Before deciding, check how comfortable you are at a standstill, where you will store it and how you will transport it. This guide complements the Y-VOLT Surge V product page with practical questions to resolve before ordering.

We draw on the configuration sold at NYVOLT and the manufacturer's information consulted on 16 October 2026. This is a guide to preparing for your purchase, with no claim to be an independent field test.

1. Check your footing before looking at power

The manufacturer states a seat height of 900 mm and a weight with battery close to 95 kg. Take your inseam, boots and experience into account. Being comfortable on a compact bike does not guarantee the same footing on a bike of this size.

Your starting question can be very practical: will you be able to move backwards, turn at low speed and stop confidently on your usual terrain? The product page provides dimensions; it does not replace an assessment of your riding position.

2. Plan storage and transport

Measure the width of the access route to your storage area and the space needed to manoeuvre. If you plan to use a van or trailer, check its usable dimensions and permitted load with all the equipment you will transport. Do not choose a ramp or tie-down points based solely on a photo.

For a comparison with a more compact format, read the Surge V and Falcon Pro comparison. The NYVOLT comparison tool also helps you see how the Surge V compares with the other bikes in the catalogue.

3. Distinguish peak power from nominal power

Y-VOLT states 35 kW peak power and 15 kW nominal power. These two values do not describe the same measurement and must not be used interchangeably. The peak figure is not enough to assess how easy the bike is to get used to or its energy consumption during a ride.

To prepare your choice, tell our team about your riding and experience. Suspension settings and instructions for getting started must follow the documentation for the configuration delivered.

4. Compare battery energy, not just voltage

The manufacturer's specifications describe a Greenway 97.2 V / 45 Ah pack with Samsung cells, rated at around 4.3 kWh. Voltage alone cannot tell you the range. Elevation, speed, temperature and the load carried affect energy consumption.

First define your usual ride: duration, terrain, pace and charging opportunities. Our range and charging guide explains how to compare capacities and plan a charging budget without turning a manufacturer's claim into a guaranteed distance.

5. Confirm the colour and exact configuration

At NYVOLT, the Surge V is offered in black and white. The presentation photographs use a retouched studio background. Check the name of the colour selected on the product page and in your cart; lighting or a reflection in a photo does not indicate an additional finish.

The version on this product page is off-road, not approved for use on public roads. An announcement of a future road version or a video showing another configuration does not change the one you order.

6. Plan the full budget

The NYVOLT price recorded on 16 October 2026 is 5 990 € including tax. Consult the product page for the current price and the order summary for any charges related to your destination. Also allow for rider equipment and suitable transport and storage arrangements.

The indicative delivery time stated is 5 to 10 working days, depending on availability and destination. If you have a firm deadline, have the conditions confirmed before ordering through our delivery information.

7. Plan the first steps after delivery

Keep the order confirmation and model references. On delivery, check the configuration, expected accessories and documentation provided. Use our electric motorcycle delivery checklist to organise this stage.

Consult the warranty conditions and the after-sales service page applicable to your purchase. A warranty displayed on a website intended for another market must not automatically be applied to your NYVOLT order.

Still unsure?

Tell us about your experience, your build, the terrain you plan to ride and your transport arrangements. This provides a more useful basis than a comparison limited to kilowatts. Ask NYVOLT for advice or view the Surge V photos and configuration.
