Prepare a clear space, keep your order details to hand and allow time to inspect the motorcycle you receive. This checklist helps you organise the delivery of a 79Bike or a Y-VOLT. Assembly, charging and maintenance instructions remain those in the manual for your configuration.
Before the carrier arrives
Check the contact details used for delivery and the tracking information provided. If access involves a gate, a narrow courtyard or steps, let the carrier know in advance. Arrange a space where the package can be placed and opened without blocking access.
Have your order confirmation and the summary of the expected colour, version and accessories ready. See our delivery terms for the applicable arrangements. The stated delivery time does not necessarily mean the motorcycle will arrive fully assembled or ready to ride: confirm the planned level of preparation.
At the time of delivery
- Check that the package is addressed to the correct name and address.
- Inspect the packaging for visible impact damage, tears, exposed parts or unusual marks.
- If you notice damage, take detailed photographs of the affected area and report the facts to the carrier. Follow the steps set out in the delivery terms.
- Keep the documents you are given and contact our team if you are unsure how to proceed.
This list helps you organise your observations; it does not replace the transport and sales terms applicable to your order.
After opening: check what has been delivered
Work methodically. Compare the motorcycle with the model reference on your order, then check the items supplied against the summary: battery, charger, keys or access devices, documentation and any accessories. Keep the protective materials and packaging during the initial checks.
The exact model name matters. A Falcon Pro, a Lynx and a Falcon GT are not interchangeable simply because they belong to the same brand. For a Surge V, also check the colour ordered and the configuration stated on the product page.
Before starting it for the first time
Read the documentation provided before handling the motorcycle. If assembly or adjustment is still required, use the instructions, tools and values specified by the manufacturer. If any information is unclear, ask NYVOLT after-sales support before proceeding.
Initial checks should cover, in particular, the assembled components, the operation of the controls and brakes, the tyres and the absence of visible damage. Do not reuse tyre pressures or tightening torques from another model: this checklist deliberately provides no generic values.
For charging, use the equipment intended for the battery you received and follow the manufacturer's instructions. If there is apparent damage or abnormal operation, stop preparing the motorcycle and request a diagnosis. Our range and charging guide adds to these pointers to help you plan your rides.
Prepare for your first ride
Choose a location suited to the configuration and your experience, with the necessary permissions. Check that transport for the motorcycle is arranged and your equipment is ready. Take time to familiarise yourself with the controls and the adjustments permitted by the manual.
Models presented as off-road in our catalogue do not become road-legal through the addition of accessories. Always refer to the version and documents actually supplied.
Keep a useful record for follow-up
- Order confirmation and invoice.
- Model, colour and identification details of the motorcycle received.
- Dated photographs if an issue was observed.
- A precise description of the problem and its context, without attempting risky disassembly.
These details make communication with our team easier. See the warranty terms and contact NYVOLT if any information is missing before your first use.
