The Falcon Pro focuses on keeping weight down; the Lynx offers a higher-capacity battery and a higher seat; the Falcon GT combines the same nominal capacity as the Lynx with a different powertrain. To choose your 79Bike, start with size and budget, then consider power. A more powerful bike will not necessarily be easier to use on your terrain.
This comparison covers the off-road configurations in the NYVOLT 79Bike catalogue. It is based on the manufacturer's specifications consulted on 16 October 2026 and is not a field test carried out by our team.
The three models at a glance
Falcon Pro: the lowest weight in this selection
79Bike Falcon Pro: 10 kW peak power, 72 V / 35 Ah battery, approximately 59 kg with battery, 830 mm seat height and 19-inch wheels front and rear. Price recorded at NYVOLT: 4 200 €.
Lynx: a higher riding position and a 40 Ah battery
79Bike Lynx: 12 kW peak power, LG 72 V / 40 Ah battery, approximately 66.2 kg with battery, 855 mm seat height and 19/18-inch wheels. Recorded price: 4 519 €.
Falcon GT: a lower seat than the Lynx
79Bike Falcon GT: 16 kW stated in the manufacturer's main presentation, Samsung 50S 72 V / 40 Ah battery, approximately 68.9 kg with battery, 820 mm seat height and 19/18-inch wheels. Recorded price: 5 119 €.
Prices as of 16 October 2026, excluding any transport charges. Refer to the product page and order summary for the current amount. Weights in kilograms are rounded from the manufacturer's figures in pounds.
What difference will you feel at a standstill?
The figures provide an initial guide: the Lynx weighs approximately 7.2 kg more than the Pro, and the GT approximately 9.9 kg more. This difference deserves attention if you need to take the bike out of a garage, load it or move it on a slope. On its own, it is not enough to predict how the bike behaves when moving.
The GT's seat is stated to be 35 mm lower than the Lynx's. This can affect how easily your feet reach the ground, but seat width, suspension sag and your inseam also play a part. There is therefore no universal rider height that guarantees the right choice. If you are unsure, tell our team about your experience, your inseam and the type of terrain you plan to ride.
35 or 40 Ah: what do you actually gain?
At the same nominal voltage, moving from 35 to 40 Ah increases theoretical energy by approximately 14 %. The calculation gives 2.52 kWh for the Pro and 2.88 kWh for the other two models. This is a capacity comparison, not a promise of extra kilometres.
A slow ride with elevation changes, repeated acceleration or soft ground may use energy differently from a manufacturer's measurement. The Lynx and GT have the same nominal capacity, but that does not prove they will cover the same distance. When planning a ride, allow a margin and consult our guide to range and charging.
How do you decide between the Pro, Lynx and GT?
- You prioritise budget and moving the bike by hand: start your comparison with the Falcon Pro, then check that its riding position suits you.
- You are looking for a 40 Ah battery: first compare how easily your feet reach the ground and the weight of the Lynx and GT. Their identical capacity does not distinguish these two models.
- You are mainly looking at power: weigh this criterion against your experience, the settings and your intended use. Do not buy based solely on the peak figure.
At the recorded prices, the Pro–Lynx difference is 319 €, and the Lynx–GT difference is 600 €. Also set aside a budget for rider equipment, transporting the bike and maintenance.
Frequently asked questions
Does the Falcon GT have a larger battery than the Lynx?
No: both specification sheets state 72 V / 40 Ah. The cells and configuration differ; the stated nominal capacity remains 2.88 kWh in both cases.
Why not rank these bikes by top speed?
The sections of the manufacturer's GT page do not all give the same value. We avoid deriving a single speed from them. Have the exact configuration confirmed for your order; this comparison prioritises consistent, verifiable criteria.
Are these configurations suitable for road use?
They are presented here for off-road use. Information about another version is not enough to establish the road-use status of the bike you order. Consult the exact product page before buying.
